Four Pillars of Care at Womb Matters:

Picture
  • Manual Therapy  You and me collaboratively listening to your body's messages using body sensations, body-centered meditation, gentle holistic touch therapies such as osteopathic-based and maya abdominal therapies, and other tools.
  • Movement Medicine  Practice moving through your life in meaningful ways - very little reps and sets in this work.  We're looking to change movement habits and thoughts about our movement for the better, for good!  I take a more exploratory & individualized approach to movement rather than being entirely prescriptive.  My lens is increasingly somatic and invitational in nature.
  • Mindset/ Cycle-Centered Coaching  Grounding both of the above pillars in the inner wisdom & innate healing abilities of your female body.  Wisdom for living your life in your female body resides specially in the womb space.  What are her messages?  How can you tend to them?  With a focus on nervous system regulation, nutrition, and somatic inquiry/ practices.
  • 'Love Is Medicine'  We cannot heal a body that we don't love - this is woven through all of the above pillars.

What can I expect if I come to Womb Matters for my care?

Initial Discernment Chat
The best way to get started and learn more about my practice and what you can expect is to talk to me.  You can schedule a Free 20-30 minute Discernment Chat so that I can listen to a bit of your story, learn more about your goals, and so that we can discern together if we are a good fit.  There's no pressure here!  I am well-connected in Denver, and I am sincerely interested in pointing you in the best direction for you, even if it doesn't include working with me.

Appointments (Based on a rate of $125/hour)
 > Initial Consultation (2 hours/ $250):
Initial consultations serve two major purposes: to help both of us hear your pelvic story and to help us discern your next steps.  These sessions are crucial for helping us to craft a individualized path forward for your healing.  It is often important to start basic nutritional or nervous system strategy work, or receive additional assessments so that we can support the body in receiving the most from the bodywork and honor your body's pacing.  You will also receive a full treatment session during your first session, which is why we allow 2 hours for this.  ***Internal pelvic physical therapy examinations are not done during the first session at Womb Matters.

> Follow-Up Sessions (80 minutes / $165):
Follow-up sessions are usually done in-person, although can also be remote as needed.  Each session contains a combination of meaningful dialogue, coaching/ education, assessment and treatment including whatever we decide together will best serve you.  This may external abdominal manual therapies such as holistic abdominal massage, external osteopathic bodywork, muscle and fascial release techniques, body-soul-based meditations, somatic experiencing nervous system regulation practices, movement analysis and practice, and of course, teaching to empower you to follow through on taking care of yourself at home.  This may also include internal pelvic work, but never in the first session, and only with your full consent after providing education on the appropriateness of this examination/ treatment for your situation.

> Remote follow-up appointments (usually 1 hour) are now available for a variety of cycle coaching or nervous system regulation sessions with a somatic focus as Beth Anne is currently in Year 2 of the Somatic Experiencing (R) Practitioner training curriculum.

Self-Care Plan
After your Initial Consultation session, Beth Anne will create and send you a Self-Care plan to serve two purposes: to help us understand your body's 'edges' of comfort and discomfort, and to help you follow through on elements that were facilitated in the office.  I expect my clients to take care of themselves and perform their self-care plan.  It usually includes body, mind, and soul tools for practice and is the essential piece for helping your body to shift in more permanent ways.  This plan will continue to be individualized and modified throughout our work together.
